How Metformin Sandoz works It contains the active ingredient metformin hydrochloride. Metformin belongs to a group of medicines called oral hypoglycaemics. Diabetes mellitus is a condition Alinia (Nitazoxanide)- FDA which the blood glucose levels are not adequately controlled.
